Design a presentation popup

Give the popup its own content while keeping the listing card concise.

Open the popup workspace

In Layout Studio, use Design card popup. Your card draft is held while you edit the popup. The popup can use a different field selection and arrangement from the card.

For example, keep the title, time and room on the card, and use the popup for a longer description and additional approved details.

Control the title and fields

Choose the popup's title field and its placement through the popup design. The title should appear once as part of that layout. Add only approved fields and arrange them using the same field controls as the card.

Switch the preview to Popup content to inspect the dialog presentation. Use approved event data to check real text lengths, and use the narrow preview before publishing.

Publish and reconnect

Publish the popup when ready. Return to the card, confirm its popup selection, and publish the card's linkage. Saving only a popup draft does not make that draft the public popup.

If a popup is already shared by other cards, publishing changes updates those references too. Use a separate design when you want an independent variation.

Return safely

When the popup has unsaved changes, the return workflow warns you. Save or publish the popup, or explicitly discard those popup edits. Discarding popup edits should not discard the held card draft.

Test the placed result

Open the published card's action as a visitor. Confirm the expected popup, fields and title appear. Check closing the dialog, keyboard focus and narrow screens.
