What MetaSprout does

MetaSprout reads Cadmium Education Harvester data into WordPress and helps you publish approved information through reusable layouts. Cadmium remains the source of truth. MetaSprout does not write changes back to Cadmium.

Presentations, presenters and Cadmium Education Harvester sponsor profiles use native WordPress records, custom fields and relationships. ACF is not required. Cadmium Expo Harvester is not included in this beta.

What you need

  • WordPress 6.6 or later and PHP 8.2 or later, within the beta's tested scope.
  • WordPress administrator access and an active MetaSprout license for imports and layout editing.
  • A Cadmium Education Harvester API key for your event, obtained separately from Cadmium.
  • Hosting that permits outbound HTTPS to Cadmium and SureCart.
  • Native WordPress mysqli database access and transactional InnoDB tables.
  • A staging site and a restorable backup.

Plan at least 256 MB of PHP memory. Database drop-ins and multisite are outside the verified beta scope.

Check your event size

The beta accepts at most 100 presentations per feed and 2,000 presenter or sponsor records per snapshot. The presentation-deletion response is limited to 10,000 records. Oversized or invalid feeds are held rather than applied.

These are import bounds, not the number of cards shown on one page. Setting a smaller layout page size does not increase the import limit.

Understand the publication steps

Importing data does not automatically make it public. You approve public fields, enable public displays for the event, and publish the layout you want to place on a page.
